As a grocery retailer, helping to feed our neighbors in need is at the core of our charitable efforts.
Since 2009, Publix has donated nearly 900 million pounds of food to food banks through our Good Together food donation program.
According to Feeding America, nearly 119 billion pounds of edible food is thrown out each year. Our Good Together food donation program helps provide nourishing meals for neighbors in need and limits food waste. We donate perishable dairy, meat, produce, and baked goods that are no longer salable, but are still wholesome to Feeding America partner food banks and other nonprofit organizations. These donations help food banks offer additional nutritional options to the people they serve.
